Bogeton in a nutshell

Bogeton helps you track your nutrition, activity and sleep: the app for iPhone, Apple Watch and Android, Bogeton on the web (app.bogeton.com) and this help centre. Using Bogeton means accepting these terms. For the iPhone app, they come on top of Apple’s standard licence agreement.

Not medical advice

Ask a health professional before changing your diet or activity, especially during pregnancy, or with an illness, a treatment, an eating disorder or pain. In an emergency, call 112 (or your local emergency number).

Estimated calories, amounts and nutrition values (photo, text, barcode) can be approximate: check them when it matters to you, for example with an allergy.

Your account

• Bogeton is open to people aged 15 and over; below that, with a parent’s consent.
• Your Bogeton account is also your CookinBreak account: one sign-up for both.
• Give accurate information and keep your password to yourself. Two-factor authentication is in Account › Security.
• You can delete your account at any time (Account › Security › Delete my account): all your data is deleted.

Free and Bogeton Plus

Free gives today’s tracking in each tab, Bogeton AI within a daily limit, and may show a little advertising.

Bogeton Plus unlocks your history, night listening, the smart alarm, progress, the full review, a larger Bogeton AI allowance, with no ads. The up-to-date detail is in the help centre: Free or Bogeton Plus.

• Prices: shown in the app before any purchase, in your currency, taxes included. Plans: no commitment (monthly), 12-month commitment (12 monthly payments) or yearly, as offered in the app.
• Launch price: a reduced price for a limited time and a limited number of spots, shown in the app before purchase; when that time ends, the plan’s regular price applies.
• Free trial: 7 days, once per account. A notification reminds you before it ends; unless you cancel, the subscription starts when the trial ends.
• Payment and renewal: through the App Store or Google Play, with your Apple or Google account. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before.
• Cancelling: in the subscription settings of your Apple or Google account. Plus stays active until the end of the paid period. With the 12-month commitment, the scheduled payments remain due until the end of the commitment. Deleting the app or your account does not stop the subscription.
• Refunds: handled by Apple or Google, under their rules.
• Price changes: announced in advance by Apple or Google, who ask for your agreement when the law requires it.
• Right of withdrawal: by starting to use Plus right after purchase, you ask for the service to begin before the end of the 14-day withdrawal period and waive that right for the period started, as allowed by consumer law.

Bogeton Plus can also be given (gift, partnership): it then ends on the date shown, with no payment.

Bogeton AI

Bogeton AI answers your questions, analyses your meals and prepares plans and programmes. Its answers are generated automatically: they can be incomplete or wrong. Keep a critical eye, especially for your health. Bogeton AI use is limited each day, depending on your plan; the allowance refills at midnight. With Bogeton Plus, the size of the allowance follows the price paid in your current offer (chosen plan, launch price), so it varies from one offer to another. What you add

Your meals, photos, notes and messages remain yours. You allow Bogeton to keep and process them only to run the service (for example, analysing a meal photo). Your recipe reviews are visible to other members with your username and photo: keep them respectful and free of other people’s personal data.

Fair use

Bogeton is for your personal tracking. Not allowed: using someone else’s account, getting around the service’s limits or protections, copying or extracting its content automatically, trying to access other members’ data, and any unlawful use. A breach can lead to the account being suspended or closed, after a message explaining why, except in an emergency or where the law requires otherwise.

The service

Bogeton evolves: features arrive, others change. The team does what it takes to keep the service available and your data safe, without being able to guarantee there will never be an interruption (update, provider outage). Night listening and the smart alarm depend on your phone (battery, settings, silent mode): keep another alarm for an important wake-up.

Liability

Bogeton is liable for direct damage caused by a breach of these terms. Bogeton is not liable for the consequences of a health decision made from the app without professional advice, for misuse, or for events beyond its control. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer.

Ownership

The app, the sites, the texts, the illustrations, the Bogeton name and logo are protected. You can use them for your personal use of the service, not copy or distribute them without permission. Credits for third-party content are in the legal notice.

Changes

If these terms change, the date at the top of the page changes too. For a significant change, the app or an e-mail lets you know at least 30 days before. If you disagree, you can cancel Plus and delete your account.

Disputes

These terms are governed by French law. If something goes wrong, write to support: most questions are settled that way. If no solution is found, you can use a consumer mediator free of charge, or go to the competent court.
