Night listening and your microphone

Your night’s sound is analysed on the phone. Kept moments stay 7 days on your phone, and 180 days on your account if you choose so.

What happens during the night

The microphone listens to pick up your breathing, movements, snoring and noises. Sound is analysed on the phone; only the result (times, stages, number of awakenings, minutes of snoring) joins your tracking. The measurements of the last 3 nights (noise level, movement, breathing, type of sounds, every 30 seconds) are kept on your account with no sound, to redo the analysis on another phone.

Kept moments

At your first bedtime, a window explains what happens to your night’s sounds and lets you choose: also back up to your account, keep on this phone only, or record nothing.

With Record night sounds, a few moments (talking, snoring, coughing) are kept for 7 days, on this phone only, so you can play them back. Nobody but you listens to them. Long-press a moment to erase it. With the option off in Sleep › Settings, no sound is recorded.

On your account

Back up to your account is off at first: nothing leaves without your consent, given in the first-bedtime window or in Sleep › Settings. When on, moments are also kept on your account: you can play them on your other devices, and after changing phones. They are deleted automatically after 180 days. A moment erased in the app is erased everywhere; turning the option off deletes those on your account right away.

Allow or remove the microphone

The first listening asks for microphone access. To remove it or allow it again: phone settings › Bogeton › Microphone.
