My trips and the world map

Bogeton spots the countries you visit, puts them on a large world map and gives you one stamp per country. You can also add a trip by hand.

When your phone changes time zone, Bogeton notices and adds the country to My trips. The world map fills up as you travel.

Where to find it

On the Today screen, the Travel section shows the map. Tap it, or tap See all, to open My trips. You can hide or show it again from Customise home (Your trips). See The Today screen.

How countries are spotted

  • Your phone’s time zone is enough, with no GPS.
  • With location allowed, a trip to a country in the same time zone as home (Italy or Spain from France) counts too: tap Also spot countries in the same time zone.
  • Countries, rounded positions and meal photos stay on this phone.

The world map in large

Tap Expand: the map goes full screen.

  • Pinch to zoom, drag to move around, or use the + and − buttons.
  • Visited countries are coloured.
  • Tap a country: you open its page, or choose Add a trip here if it’s still to discover.

Add a trip by hand

A trip taken without your phone, or a memory from before Bogeton? Tap Add a trip:

  1. Search a country.
  2. For a country with several time zones or overseas territories, choose the territory or the time zone of the place you visited: the time changes from one region to another.
  3. Fill in the Departure and the Return, then Add the trip.

To change or delete a trip you added by hand, open it and choose Edit the trip or Remove the trip. Trips spotted by the phone stay on the map.

One stamp per country

Each visited country has its stamp, as in a passport: a line-drawn landmark in the centre, an ink of its own, the arrival date, all written in the app’s language. Around thirty countries have a drawing of their own; the others get an aeroplane stamp. Stamps line up in My trips, three per row, and the country’s stamp appears in large on its page.

A trip’s page

  • Days away, Trips, Farthest and Countries sum up the whole.
  • For one trip: the time difference, the time to adjust and your nights there, compared with your 30 nights before.
  • The time there and at home, in plain words: “8 am in Paris, 4 pm in Tokyo”.
  • Share this trip as an image creates an image to send, with your days, nights and meal photos.

An upcoming trip appears under Next trip: tap See the departure plan. See Getting ready for a trip: before, during, on arrival.
