Your ideal bedtime and sleep goal
Tonight’s bedtime counts back from your usual wake-up; your goal follows your age, your exercise and your good mornings.

Your ideal bedtime
The Tonight card in the Sleep tab gives the time to go to bed. Tap it to see why:
- Your reference wake-up: your wake-ups over the last 6 weeks at home (weekdays and weekends).
- Your sleep target, plus 15 minutes to fall asleep.
- Adjustments of the moment: a little earlier to catch up on sleep, back to your rhythm after late nights, or the time chosen with your review.
Your wake-up time sets your body clock: keeping a steady wake-up time, even after a short night, helps more than anything else.
Your sleep goal
By default it is automatic: it follows your age, this week’s exercise and the sleep that comes before your best mornings. To choose it yourself: sleep settings › Sleep goal. Most adults need 7 to 9 hours.
Your rhythm
The Your rhythm timeline shows your typical day: wake-up, slump, peak, ideal bedtime. Tap Details for your regularity and your clock type.
