Share your outing live
Send a link to someone close: they see your position, route, distance and pace during your outing, with no account or app required.
On this page
Share live lets someone close follow your outing from afar: handy for a solo run, a hike or a night ride.
Create the link
- Open Your route (see Your route: create a loop or an itinerary), or the screen of your outing in progress.
- Under Share live, tap Create the link, then send it in a message.
- Start your outing. It appears for them from the first few metres.
Once the link exists, Link ready for your next outing keeps it at hand: tap Send the link (or Send the link again) to send it again.
What they see
When they open the link, they get the map with your route, the course you are following and your position, with the distance, time and pace. The outing’s state shows: Live, Paused or Finished, and how recent the last position is. On a phone with Bogeton installed, the link opens the app; otherwise it opens in the browser.
During your outing, you see how many people are following: “1 person is following your outing”.
What is shared
- Your position is sent every 5 seconds while the outing is in progress.
- The area around your start stays hidden: nobody sees where you leave from at home.
- Everything is erased an hour after the end of the outing.
- You can Stop sharing at any time.
Without a network, Signal… appears and your position resumes by itself as soon as the connection is back.
